Day 1 : Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut- First Hiking day

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and driven to Marangu Gate. Enjoy the scenic drive with views of the mountain. At the gate, you will meet your guides and porters. The hike starts through a beautiful rainforest, where you may spot colorful birds, colobus monkeys, and other wildlife. The hike takes about 4-5 hours and will lead you to Mandara Huts, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

The trail takes you approximately 5-7 hours, passing by remarkable alpine plants. Reach Kibo Hut, situated at 4,705 meters, where you will prepare for the summit ascent.
